Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Vietnam National Chemical Group was originated from the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Vietnam National Chemical Corporation which was found on July 21st 2008 according to the Decision No 28-QD/DTNK of Standing Committee of the Youth Union of Central State owned enterprise sector.

On Dec 30th 2009, the Communist Party of Central State owned enterprise sector signed the Decion No 612-QD/DUK on renaming the Communist Party of Vietnam National Chemical Corporation to the Communist Party of Vietnam National Chemical Group. After that, on Jan 19th 2010, Ho Chi Minh Youth Union of Central State owned enterprise made the Decision No 612-QD/DUK renaming Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Vietnam National Chemical to Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Vietnam National Chemical Group.
