Vietnam Chemicals Group Leadership Holds Working Session with Chonfar Consulting Contractor on Feasibility Study for Rock Salt Project in Laos
On January 12, 2026, the leadership of Vietnam Chemicals Group (Vinachem) held a working session with Chonfar consulting contractor to exchange views and evaluate the results of implementing the feasibility study (FS) for the Rock Salt Project in Laos, carried out by Vietnam-Laos Chemicals and Rock Salt Co., Ltd. (Vilachemsalt).
Attending the working session, representing Vietnam Chemicals Group were Mr. Nguyen Huu Tu – General Director of the Group; Mr. Dao Trong Cuong – Deputy General Director of the Group; representatives from the Investment and Construction Department and the General Director of Vilachemsalt Company. Representing Chonfar consulting contractor were Mr. Guo Wang – Market Director and Mr. Gao Xin – Project Manager, also in charge of the Laos region.
At the working session, both sides focused on exchanging content related to the results of implementing the feasibility study for the Rock Salt Project in Laos by Vietnam Chemicals Group. Mr. Nguyen Huu Tu – General Director of the Group acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and close cooperative spirit of both sides during the past period. The feasibility study report has been completed and submitted to the functional agencies of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in accordance with legal regulations.
The Group's leadership requested continued review and refinement of the contents in the FS report to ensure it truly serves as an important foundational document for the successful implementation of the project in the coming period.
Representatives of Chonfar consulting contractor sincerely thanked the leadership of Vietnam Chemicals Group for their trust in entrusting them with the responsibility of conducting the feasibility study for the Rock Salt Project in Laos. Chonfar affirmed they will continue to leverage their experience and professional capabilities to accompany the Group in the project implementation process, while expressing their desire to continue participating and contributing more deeply to subsequent phases of the project in the future.
The working session demonstrates the determination and close coordination between Vietnam Chemicals Group and Chonfar consulting contractor, contributing to creating an important foundation for the Rock Salt Project in Laos to be soon appraised, approved, and effectively implemented, meeting sustainable development goals and expanding the Group's investment cooperation in the region.
