Ministry of Finance Appoints Mr. Nguyễn Văn Đông as Member of the Members’ Council of Vinachem
On 22 August 2026, the Ministry of Finance issued Decision No. 2368/QĐ-BTC appointing Mr. Nguyễn Văn Đông, Member of the Members’ Council and General Director of Apatit Vietnam Company Limited, as a Member of the Members’ Council of the Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem) for a five-year term. The decision takes effect from the date of signing.
The appointment of Mr. Nguyễn Văn Đông further consolidates Vinachem’s Members’ Council, enhancing management and leadership capacity to meet the requirements of implementing production, business, and development tasks in the new period.
Mr. Nguyễn Văn Đông was born in 1982 and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economic Law from Hanoi Law University, a Master’s degree in Business and Management from the National Economics University, and an Advanced Certificate in Political Theory. He joined Ha Bac Nitrogenous Fertiliser and Chemical Company in June 2005.
During his career, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Đông has held various positions at member units and at the Group’s headquarters, gradually gaining experience in management, administration, and advisory roles. Since 2014, he has served in the Group’s headquarters as Deputy Chief of Office, Secretary to the Chairman of the Members’ Council, Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the Members’ Council, and Head of the Secretariat of the Members’ Council of Vinachem.
Since 2019, he has held a number of management positions at Vinachem’s member units, including Representative of the Group’s capital, Member of the Board of Directors, and General Director of DAP No. 2 Joint Stock Company – Vinachem; Chairman of the Members’ Council and Secretary of the Party Committee of Ninh Binh Fertiliser Company Limited; and Chairman of the Members’ Council and Secretary of the Party Committee of Apatit Vietnam Company Limited.
From November 2024 to the present, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Đông has served as Member of the Members’ Council and General Director of Apatit Vietnam Company Limited, concurrently holding the position of Secretary of the company’s Party Committee.
With his many years of service in the chemical sector and management experience at both the Group’s headquarters and its member units, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Đông is expected to continue to apply his expertise and practical experience, working with the Members’ Council and the Executive Board to enhance governance efficiency, promote production and business activities, and achieve the Group’s development objectives in the time ahead.
Decision No. 2368/QĐ-BTC dated 22 August 2026 further strengthens the organisation and personnel of Vinachem’s Members’ Council, bolsters leadership and management capacity, and meets the development requirements of the Group in the new period.
