Opening of the 2026 Vinachem Group Northern Region Workers’ Sports Festival
On the morning of June 18, 2026, at the Cultural Center of Vietnam Apatit Limited Liability Company, the Vietnam National Chemical Industry Trade Union held the opening ceremony of the 2026 Workers’ Sports Festival for the Northern Region of the Vietnam National Chemical Group.
Before the opening ceremony, in an enthusiastic and lively atmosphere, leaders, delegates, athletes, and a large number of staff, union members, and workers participated in a warm-up run, creating a festive spirit for the event. This activity contributed to promoting exercise and sports, improving health, fostering unity among units, and igniting a spirit of emulation throughout the Group.
Attending and encouraging the event were Mr. Lê An Hải, Chairman of the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union; Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Tú, General Director of the Vietnam National Chemical Group; Mr. Nguyễn Văn Quý, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Group Party Committee; Mr. Nguyễn Văn Luyện, Deputy General Director of the Group; leaders of the Vietnam National Chemical Industry Trade Union; leaders of Vietnam Apatit Limited Liability Company; representatives from the Group’s functional departments, leaders of member units, along with a large number of staff, union members, workers, and athletes from units in the Northern Region.
This year’s festival brought together nearly 400 athletes from 17 teams, all union members and workers from grassroots unions under the Vietnam National Chemical Industry Trade Union. The athletes competed in five sports: football, volleyball, pickleball, badminton, and table tennis.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Nguyễn Huy Thông, Chairman of the Vietnam National Chemical Industry Trade Union and Head of the Organizing Committee, emphasized: Health is the most valuable asset of every person, an invaluable treasure for each nation, as well as for every business. Maintaining and developing exercise and sports movements not only helps improve physical and spiritual life for workers but also motivates higher labor productivity and builds a united, positive working environment, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of the enterprise.
According to Mr. Nguyễn Huy Thông, the 2026 Vinachem Workers’ Sports Festival is not only an opportunity for units to exchange, learn, and strengthen solidarity, but also a healthy playground to promote fitness and sports activities across the entire Group.
He called on athletes to promote solidarity, honesty, sportsmanship, and to compete wholeheartedly in the spirit of exchange and learning; referees to conduct matches objectively and fairly according to regulations; and the Organizing Committee to ensure the best conditions for the festival to take place safely and successfully. He also expressed his belief that after the festival, sports movements at member units will continue to flourish, helping build a workforce with health, resilience, and dedication to successfully achieve the Group’s production and business goals in 2026 and beyond.
The 2026 Vinachem Group Northern Region Workers’ Sports Festival takes place over two days, June 18 and 19, 2026. This is a meaningful activity aimed at creating a healthy playground, enhancing interaction and learning among staff, union members, and workers from different units; contributing to a rich cultural and spiritual life, improving health, promoting solidarity, and building corporate culture, thereby motivating the achievement of production and business targets in 2026.
