As part of his working trip to Egypt, Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Tú – General Director of the Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem) – paid an official visit and held a working session with Mr. Nguyễn Nam Dương, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Egypt, along with the Vietnamese Trade Representative in Egypt.

During the meeting, the General Director of Vinachem provided a comprehensive update on the Group’s business and production situation in recent times, emphasizing the strategic goal of maintaining double-digit growth through strong restructuring, enhanced management capacity, technological innovation, and market expansion. In its international market development strategy, Vinachem identifies Africa as a new, high-potential growth area, with Egypt selected as a key market thanks to its gateway position in the Middle East–North Africa region, favorable logistics, and large market demand.

The Vinachem leader expressed his desire for active support and connections from the Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt in providing market information, introducing business partners, and offering legal and commercial advice. This would facilitate Vinachem’s key product groups—such as rubber tires, detergents, batteries and accumulators—to quickly access, establish their brands, and penetrate deeper into the Egyptian market in particular and neighboring regions in general.

In response, Ambassador Nguyễn Nam Dương highly appreciated Vinachem’s outstanding achievements, especially its large-scale production capacity, diverse product portfolio, and increasingly strong competitiveness as Vietnam’s leading chemical enterprise. The Ambassador affirmed that the Embassy would always accompany businesses, acting as a reliable bridge between Vinachem and local authorities, industry associations, and enterprises; as well as providing maximum support in information, trade connections, and favorable diplomatic conditions for Vinachem’s goods to gradually establish a solid foothold in the Egyptian market.

The meeting laid the foundation for establishing a regular coordination channel between Vinachem and the Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt, effectively supporting Vinachem’s market expansion strategy in Africa. This is not only a practical business diplomacy activity, but also a concrete step toward bringing Vinachem’s key products deeper into the international market, contributing to increasing export value and affirming the position of Vietnamese chemical products on the global trade map.
