Vinachem Delegation Works with the Vietnamese Embassy in the Republic of Bulgaria
On the afternoon of 17 October 2026, in Sofia, as part of its European working programme, a delegation from the Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem), led by General Director Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Tú, visited and held talks with the Vietnamese Embassy in the Republic of Bulgaria. The delegation was welcomed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ms. Nguyễn Thị Minh Nguyệt, the Head of the Trade Office, and embassy staff.

Strengthening Links and Continuing the Vietnam–Bulgaria Tradition of Cooperation
Prior to the meeting, the Vinachem delegation respectfully laid flowers at the monument and paid tribute at the Ho Chi Minh memorial space within the Vietnamese Embassy in Bulgaria. This act expressed deep respect and gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh, recalling his 1957 visit to Bulgaria and contributing to the ongoing cultivation of traditional friendship between the two nations.

During the meeting, General Director Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Tú expressed his sincere thanks to the Vietnamese Embassy in Bulgaria for their support and facilitation of the delegation’s activities. The delegation also expressed their appreciation for the warmth and hospitality of the local people, considering these to be favourable conditions for strengthening exchanges and promoting economic and trade cooperation between Vietnam and Bulgaria.

Ambassador Nguyễn Thị Minh Nguyệt provided an overview of Bulgaria’s socio-economic situation and shared opportunities for economic, trade, and investment cooperation between Vietnam and Bulgaria. She especially noted that Bulgaria’s official adoption of the Euro in 2026 would create a more stable and favourable environment for international businesses.
The Ambassador also shared that the Vietnamese community in Bulgaria currently numbers around 1,000 people, who remain united, well integrated into local society, and play an important role as a bridge for promoting traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
Vinachem Drives Market Expansion, Aiming for USD 1 Billion Exports
In discussions with the Ambassador and Trade Office representatives, Vinachem’s leadership gave an overview of the Group’s production, business activities, capacity, and development directions. In 2025, Vinachem achieved revenue of approximately USD 2.4 billion, profit of about USD 150 million, maintained double-digit growth, and was ranked 148th among Southeast Asia’s 500 largest enterprises by Fortune.
Building on these achievements, Vinachem is focusing on its development strategy to 2030, aiming for revenue of around VND 100 trillion and export turnover in excess of USD 1 billion. To realise these objectives, the Group is not only consolidating traditional markets but is also prioritising international market expansion, strengthening connections with partners, and seeking opportunities for trade cooperation and sourcing production inputs.

At the meeting, the Vinachem delegation and the Vietnamese Embassy in Bulgaria discussed the potential for economic and trade cooperation, particularly the possibility of expanding Vinachem’s product markets in Bulgaria and Eastern Europe. The Group is considering how Bulgaria could serve as a hub, supporting the deeper penetration of Vinachem’s key products into the regional market.
To support this process, the delegation requested that the Embassy and Vietnam Trade Office in Bulgaria continue to provide information on market conditions, tax policies, trade incentives, and import regulations; and to connect Vinachem with potential businesses and partners, helping the Group survey the market, seek cooperation opportunities, and establish a stable supply network for long-term production needs.

The visit and working session with the Vietnamese Embassy in Bulgaria formed a practical part of Vinachem’s European business itinerary, contributing to stronger links between enterprises and Vietnam’s overseas representative offices. In doing so, the Group is gradually expanding its partner network, tapping into the potential of the Eastern European market, creating new opportunities for import–export activities, promoting international integration, and aiming for sustainable growth in the coming period.
