The Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem) joined the VPBank Hanoi International Marathon 2026 (VPIM 2026) as a partner in this major community sporting event, which brought together over 11,000 athletes from Vietnam and abroad in the capital. With the Vinachemmart booth at the heart of the event, Vinachem distributed thousands of gifts to athletes and visitors over the course of three days. This presence continues the strategic partnership between Vinachem and VPBank, bringing the Group’s brand closer to the public.

A Marathon Marked by the Spirit of Hanoi

VPIM 2026 took place from 16 to 18 October 2026, with the main race day on Sunday 18 October, starting from the Hoan Kiem Lake area. The race featured four distances—42 km, 21 km, 10 km, and 5 km—guiding runners through iconic routes that showcase the blend of ancient and modern Hanoi.

After seven seasons, the VPBank Hanoi International Marathon has become one of the city’s leading international races, attracting professional athletes, running enthusiasts, and many businesses and brands, all promoting a healthy lifestyle, positive spirit, and community cohesion.

Supporting the Event with Everyday Products

As a sponsor, Vinachem provided more than 11,000 gifts in the race kits distributed before the event, contributing to a complete experience for participants before, during, and after the race.

The Vinachemmart booth at the event’s centre showcased key products from member units, including detergents, batteries, accumulators, tyres, and fertilisers—familiar items found in daily life as well as in industrial and agricultural production. During the three days from 16 to 18 October, the booth distributed thousands of gifts to athletes, their families, and visitors, making it a lively stop on the sidelines of the marathon.

Alongside its sponsorship, Vinachem employees also took part in various race distances, demonstrating the Group’s commitment to health and the dynamism of its workforce.

Putting Vinachem–VPBank Strategic Cooperation into Practice

Vinachem’s participation in VPIM 2026 is a concrete step following the strategic cooperation agreement signed with VPBank on 18 August 2026. This year, both companies were also listed in the Fortune Southeast Asia 500.

Accompanying the VPBank Hanoi International Marathon 2026 marks the realisation of the strategic partnership between Vinachem and VPBank, bringing their collaboration beyond finance and manufacturing to direct community engagement. Through this event, Vinachem and its member units’ products gained greater visibility among consumers, while also promoting the dynamism and healthy spirit of the Group’s nearly 20,000 staff, engineers, and workers. In line with Resolution No. 79-NQ/TW dated 6 January 2026 of the Politburo on the development of the state economy, Vinachem recognises that, alongside business effectiveness, state enterprises must actively engage with the community and fulfil social responsibility.
