Vietnam National Chemical Group Attends IFA Crossroads 2026 Conference in Chiang Mai
From 13 to 15 October 2026, a delegation from the Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem), led by Deputy General Director Mr. Nguyễn Văn Luyện, attended the IFA Crossroads 2026 Conference in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The delegation included representatives from member units such as Ninh Binh Phosphate Fertiliser Joint Stock Company, Southern Fertiliser Joint Stock Company, and DAP No. 2 – Vinachem Joint Stock Company.
IFA Crossroads is the annual Asia-Pacific regional conference of the International Fertilizer Association (IFA), bringing together businesses, experts, and organisations active in the fertiliser value chain. The forum provides a platform for participants to exchange information, share experiences, and update on new trends relating to the market, production, distribution, and use of fertilisers, as well as sustainability issues affecting the sector.
In the context of ongoing developments in the regional and global fertiliser markets, participation in the conference provided Vinachem with the opportunity to access information from industry businesses and organisations, keep abreast of market trends, and explore strategic development directions for the fertiliser sector in the coming period.
During the conference, the delegation held meetings and exchanges with more than 100 businesses engaged in fertiliser production, business, and trade. Through these interactions, the delegation updated information on the market, closely monitored strategic development trends in the regional and global fertiliser industry, and sought opportunities for cooperation with suitable partners.
Meetings with industry peers also enabled representatives from the Group and its member units to deepen exchanges and expand connections within the fertiliser value chain. The information gathered at the conference serves as valuable input for monitoring, assessing market developments, and guiding production and business activities for the Group and its units.
In addition to business networking, the delegation held discussions with Ms. Annie Cohen, Senior Manager for Global Membership Relations at IFA. The meeting focused on the potential for closer cooperation, enhanced connectivity, and the promotion of collaboration between Vinachem and IFA in the future.
Through this exchange, Vinachem aims to strengthen its relationship with the International Fertilizer Association, broaden its access to information, and foster connections with the international fertiliser business community. The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss potential joint activities in the fertiliser sector, in line with the Group’s development orientation and practical needs.
Participation in IFA Crossroads 2026 in Chiang Mai has contributed to strengthening Vinachem’s ties with international fertiliser businesses and organisations; it has also facilitated market information updates, helped track industry development trends, and created opportunities for suitable future partnerships.
