On the morning of 21 October 2026, the Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem) held the seminar “Vinachem Agriculture – Connecting Experts, Supporting Farmers” in a hybrid format connecting 12 locations. The seminar focused on crop nutrition, selecting fertilisers suited to soil conditions, plant care, and the safe, effective use of crop protection products. It also addressed practical issues raised by farmers during production.

The seminar was chaired by Mr. Đào Trọng Cường, Deputy General Director of Vinachem. The Hanoi location was attended by Mr. Nguyễn Tuấn Minh, Member of the Members’ Council, along with representatives from specialist departments and the Centre for Chemical Science and Technology Information.

Participants included experts, scientists, and business representatives: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Việt Hà, Dr. Cao Đức Huy (Vietnam National University of Agriculture); Dr. Phạm Anh Cường, Secretary of the Scientific Council, Binh Dien Fertiliser JSC; Mr. Võ Tòng Anh, Senior Advisor, Southern Fertiliser JSC; and MSc. Phan Đức Sơn, Director of Branch 1, Vietnam Pesticide JSC.

The seminar was connected to 12 member units: Vietnam Apatit Limited Company; Binh Dien Fertiliser JSC; Lam Thao Superphosphate and Chemicals JSC; Southern Fertiliser JSC; DAP-Vinachem JSC; DAP No. 2 – Vinachem JSC; Van Dien Fused Phosphate Fertiliser JSC; Can Tho Fertiliser and Chemicals JSC; Ninh Binh Phosphate Fertiliser JSC; Ha Bac Fertiliser and Chemicals JSC; Ninh Binh Nitrogenous Fertiliser Limited Company; and Vietnam Pesticide JSC.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Đào Trọng Cường emphasised that the aim was to strengthen links between producers, experts, scientists, and farmers; to bring scientific knowledge and practical experience closer to growers; and to listen to challenges encountered in cultivation, to offer appropriate advice.

Expert Solutions for Plant Care and Fertiliser Use

At the seminar, experts focused on topics directly addressing the practical needs of agricultural production, from plant care and fertiliser selection to the safe, effective use of crop protection products.

Dr. Phạm Anh Cường, Secretary of the Scientific Council, Binh Dien Fertiliser JSC, shared solutions for coffee care to increase yields in the Central Highlands—a key concern in a region with extensive coffee cultivation, where appropriate care and nutrition are vital to productivity and quality.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Việt Hà, Vietnam National University of Agriculture, discussed choosing fertilisers suited to each type of cultivated soil. This aimed to help growers better understand the relationship between soil characteristics, crop nutritional requirements, and fertiliser selection, thereby improving input efficiency.

For rice in the Mekong Delta, Mr. Võ Tòng Anh, Senior Advisor, Southern Fertiliser JSC, discussed current fertiliser trends for the crop. MSc. Phan Đức Sơn, Director of Branch 1, Vietnam Pesticide JSC, addressed the safe and effective use of crop protection products.

These sessions provided participants direct access to technical knowledge linked to production and the opportunity to consult experts on product choices suited to particular growing conditions.

Strengthening Farmer Support through Vinachem Agriculture

In two live Q&A sessions, farmers at all locations could raise issues and challenges from their production practice for expert advice. The discussion focused on selecting fertilisers for particular crops, soil types, growth stages, and pest control.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Đào Trọng Cường underlined Vinachem’s consistent approach to supporting farmers in using the Group’s products safely, effectively, and suitably, thereby enhancing the value and quality of agricultural produce.

Mr. Đào Trọng Cường called on the 12 participating member units to continue promoting the Vinachem Agriculture website to distributors and farmers. This platform enables farmers to access product information, cultivation knowledge, and connect with experts to address arising issues during production.

The Vinachem Agriculture website, at https://vinachemnongnghiep.com.vn/, is introduced by the Group as an information channel to strengthen links between businesses, distributors, and farmers.
