Under the witness of General Secretary and President Tô Lâm, as well as senior leaders from Vietnam and Singapore, Vinachem and DSM-FIRMENICH have established a strategic partnership, opening up opportunities to access advanced technologies, promote the development of high value-added consumer chemical products, and enhance the competitiveness of Vietnamese enterprises in the international market.

As part of the official visit to the Republic of Singapore by the Vietnamese high-level delegation led by General Secretary and President Tô Lâm, the Vietnam – Singapore Technology Connection Forum took place on the afternoon of May 29, themed “From Strategic Partnership to Industrial Platforms, Innovation, and Next-Generation Sustainable Development.”

The forum brought together government leaders, regulatory bodies, research institutes, universities, and business communities from both countries to promote cooperation in science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, and high-tech industrial development.

At the forum, Vinachem and DSM-FIRMENICH signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for strategic cooperation under the witness of General Secretary, President Tô Lâm, and senior leaders from both Vietnam and Singapore. Vinachem being among the selected enterprises to sign cooperation agreements at the forum continues to affirm the Group’s role and position in the process of international integration, technology innovation, and the development of Vietnam’s foundational industries.

According to the MOU, both parties agreed to build a long-term strategic cooperation framework to promote business development, expand markets, transfer technology, and enhance competitiveness. The focus of the cooperation is the supply of high-tech fragrance lines for the production of household cleaning agents, cosmetics, and personal care products for Vinachem’s member units; as well as joint research, consulting on new technological solutions, supporting product development, and enhancing consumer experience.

DSM-FIRMENICH is one of the world’s leading groups in nutrition, health, fragrance, and beauty, with a global research, development, and supply network. Establishing relations with such a globally leading technology partner not only opens up opportunities for Vinachem's consumer chemical ecosystem to access advanced solutions but also contributes to improving research capacity, product innovation, and the competitiveness of Vietnamese enterprises in the regional and international markets.

The event also highlights Vinachem’s increasingly clear orientation toward deeper involvement in high-tech and high value-added chemical segments. This move aligns with Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, and contributes to realizing Resolution No. 79-NQ/TW of the Politburo on building large-scale state-owned enterprises capable of leading, mastering technology, and participating deeply in the global value chain.

Currently, Vinachem plays a key role in Vietnam’s chemical industry, operating in many important fields such as fertilizers, basic chemicals, consumer chemicals, batteries and accumulators, technical rubber tires, and industrial support products.
