On 11th September 2026 in Hanoi, Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem) held a working session with a delegation from China National Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd. (CNCEC) to discuss and explore opportunities for cooperation and trade promotion in the chemical sector.

Attending the meeting on behalf of Vinachem were Mr. Nguyễn Văn Luyện, Deputy General Director; representatives of specialist departments; and the Chemical Trade and Service Centre. The CNCEC delegation included Mr. Deng Zhaojing, General Director; Mr. Wang Lei, Head of Overseas Business; Mr. Wang Bo, Head of Scientific Research Management, Technology and Digitalisation; Mr. Sun Miaolong, Head of Overseas Business Development; Mr. Zhao Minwei, General Director of TCC; and Mr. Lyu Dong, Director of TCC in Vietnam.

CNCEC is a leading Chinese engineering and construction group, with strengths in technical consultancy, surveying, design, construction, and EPC contracting for industrial projects. The group focuses on chemicals, fertilisers, petrochemicals, energy, and environmental infrastructure, and operates a network of member companies in numerous international markets. With the capability to implement large-scale industrial projects, CNCEC is a potential partner for Vinachem in investment, technology, construction, and trade.

During the meeting, both sides introduced their capabilities, business areas, and development orientations, and exchanged views on the potential for cooperation in chemicals. Discussions centred on opportunities for commercial, investment, and technological cooperation, and project implementation, leveraging the respective strengths of each party.

Introducing Vinachem’s production and business activities, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Luyện, Deputy General Director, stated that the Group is focused on developing high-quality products to meet domestic market demand and expand internationally. Member companies’ products such as rubber, chemicals, and other industrial goods hold potential for increased trade cooperation with foreign partners.

Vinachem wishes to strengthen its links with CNCEC in order to broaden its product markets, promote import and export activities, and explore cooperation opportunities in investment, technology, and product development.

CNCEC’s representatives expressed interest in Vinachem’s production capacity, products, and cooperation potential. Both sides agreed to continue detailed technical exchange on specific fields, products, and potential cooperation areas. Based on these technical discussions, suitable areas for step-by-step implementation will be identified.

The parties also discussed potential cooperation in technology, research and development, and industrial chemical project implementation. Enhanced exchange between technical units will help clarify needs, strengths, and cooperation potential, thereby shaping concrete areas for collaboration.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Luyện, Deputy General Director of Vinachem, welcomed CNCEC’s interest and willingness to cooperate. He expressed Vinachem’s desire to continue regular exchanges with CNCEC, enabling technical units on both sides to delve deeper into potential fields in pursuit of practical and effective cooperation.

CNCEC’s representatives also invited Vinachem’s leaders and specialists to visit and work in China. This would provide an opportunity for both sides to strengthen dialogue, gain practical insights into production, technology, and operations, and study cooperation opportunities in greater depth.

The meeting marked an important step in Vinachem’s trade promotion and international cooperation. Continued technical exchanges will provide a basis for both parties to define specific fields, products, and projects for cooperation, contributing to market expansion and enhanced production and business efficiency.
