Vinachem promotes trade, industrial cooperation, and technology transfer in Bulgaria
As part of its working programme in Bulgaria on 19 and 20 October 2026, a delegation from the Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem), led by General Director Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Tú, engaged with Bulgarian agencies and enterprises to explore cooperation opportunities in chemicals, fertilisers, tyres, industrial waste recycling, and raw materials for cosmetics and personal care. These activities are contributing to stronger business links, market expansion, and enhanced industrial cooperation between Vinachem and Bulgarian partners.
Expanding Business Links and Seeking Industrial Partnerships
At a meeting with the Bulgarian Chamber of Chemical Industry, Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Tú outlined Vinachem’s production capacity, development orientation, and market expansion strategy, focusing on core product groups such as tyres and technical rubber; batteries and accumulators; cosmetics and detergents; and advanced, specialised fertilisers.

Mr. Kalin Borissov, Board Member of the Bulgarian Chamber of Chemical Industry, and representatives from Lukoil Neftochim Burgas AD, exchanged views with the delegation on industrial cooperation potential, business networking, and opportunities for joint activities aligned with each party’s strengths. Lukoil Neftochim Burgas AD is a major petrochemical enterprise in Bulgaria and the Balkan region.

A notable topic was potential collaboration in industrial waste treatment and recycling, especially in used lubricant oil recycling and regenerated base oil production. The Bulgarian side expressed the desire to expand cooperation with Vietnam and is ready to exchange and support research into establishing production facilities in this field in Vietnam. This direction has strong potential for improving resource efficiency, promoting the circular economy, and advancing green, sustainable industrial development.

Also on 19 October, the Vietnam Trade Office in Bulgaria arranged an online meeting between The Southern Rubber Industry Joint Stock Company (Casumina) and Auto Italia Bulgaria. The two companies discussed the supply of automotive tyres for Bulgarian public procurement tenders and local governments, as well as distribution partnership opportunities and market expansion into neighbouring countries. This initiative opens up avenues for stronger trade links, helping Vinachem’s tyres gain deeper access to the European market.
Exploring Technology, Production Experience, and Core Sector Cooperation
During the programme, the delegation visited Enio Bonchev Essential Oils Ltd., a company with a history dating back to 1909, specialising in the production of pure, organic rose and lavender essential oils.

Enio Bonchev currently owns over 160 hectares of organic rose and lavender fields and operates three modern factories supplying the global market. The company places strong emphasis on quality control throughout sourcing, production, and distribution, blending traditional practices with modern technology.
The visit provided Vinachem with insights into developing raw material regions, organising production, and supplying essential oils for international markets, supporting research into integrating these raw materials into Vinachem’s cosmetics and detergents sector.

On the afternoon of 20 October 2026, the Vinachem delegation continued with a visit to Agropolychim AD in Devnya, one of Southeast Europe’s leading nitrogen fertiliser producers and a major phosphate fertiliser manufacturer in the Balkans.
Established in 1974, Agropolychim employs over 1,000 staff, specialising in nitrogen, phosphate, and compound fertilisers. The company’s industrial complex is located near Varna-West Port, facilitating logistics, transport, and product distribution.

Agropolychim focuses on modernising production facilities, improving resource efficiency, saving energy, increasing automation, and enhancing environmental performance. Key investment areas include technology upgrades, wastewater treatment, emission reduction, sustainable waste management, industrial safety, and improved storage, packaging, and transport efficiency.

At the meeting, Vinachem gained insight into the production capacity, operational experience, and technology investment orientation of a large-scale European fertiliser company. Both sides discussed the fertiliser sector, advanced production technology, and the potential for cooperation aligned with the development needs and capabilities of each enterprise.
The meetings and business networking activities in Bulgaria showcased Vinachem’s production capabilities and core product groups, facilitated information exchange on market conditions, and explored opportunities for cooperation in trade, industry, and technology transfer.
Given Bulgaria’s position in the Balkans and its connectivity with the European Union (EU) market, the country serves as a strategic location for Vinachem to seek partners, expand market reach, and foster industrial relations in Europe.

Through this working programme, Vinachem aims to expand its international partner network, seek market development opportunities for its core products, and explore cooperation in production technology, recycling, and efficient resource use. In this way, the Group is steadily enhancing competitiveness, extending its supply chain, and driving the development of a modern, efficient, and sustainable chemical industry.
