Vinachem – Vietnam’s Leading Chemical Group showcases four key product lines at Viet-Lao Expo 2026

From 16th to 20th July 2026, at the Lao International Trade Exhibition and Convention Centre (Lao-ITECC) in Vientiane, the Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem) will participate in the 2026 Viet Nam–Laos Trade Fair (VIETLAO EXPO), the largest trade promotion event by Vietnam in the Lao market. The fair forms part of the National Trade Promotion Programme for 2026, jointly organised by the Ministries of Industry and Trade of Vietnam and Laos.

Largest Exhibition Stand to Date

After nearly two decades as an annual event, VIETLAO EXPO has become a vital trade bridge between the business communities of both countries, contributing to the goal of raising bilateral trade turnover to USD 4 billion in 2026 and aiming for USD 10 billion by 2030, as set by senior leaders. This year’s fair brings together around 250 standard booths, with the Vietnamese side accounting for 120 booths from nearly 80 enterprises across a range of key sectors.

As Vietnam’s leading state-owned chemical enterprise, Vinachem comprises over 30 subsidiaries active in fertilisers, consumer chemicals, rubber tyres, and batteries. In 2026, Vinachem was recognised for the first time by Fortune magazine in its Fortune Southeast Asia 500, ranking 148th among the region’s top 500 companies—a testament to its scale and financial strength within Southeast Asia.

At this year’s fair, Vinachem has registered a custom-built exhibition area equivalent to 12 standard booths (108m²), centrally located opposite the Organising Committee’s stand. This is among the largest Vietnamese corporate displays at VIETLAO EXPO 2026, featuring nine subsidiaries: Binh Dien Fertilizer, Lam Thao Superphosphate and Chemicals, Lix Detergent, the Southern Dry Cell & Storage Battery (Pinaco), Ninh Bình Phosphate Fertiliser, Hanoi Soap (Haso), The Southern Rubber Industry (Casumina), Danang Rubber (DRC), and Vietnam Pesticide (Vipesco).

Four Principal Product Lines Targeting Regional Expansion

The participating subsidiaries will showcase Vinachem’s four principal product groups: fertilisers (urea, DAP, NPK, superphosphate, fused phosphate, specialist and organic fertilisers); consumer chemicals (detergent powder and liquid, washing-up liquid, floor cleaner, fabric softener, soap); tyres and technical rubber for motorbikes, bicycles, cars, trucks, and industrial vehicles; and batteries and accumulators for household, motorbike, car, and industrial use.

Product selection is based on brand recognition, consumer demand, and direct access to customers, agents, and distributors within the Lao market. For consumer chemicals, fertilisers, batteries, and rubber, Laos and Northeast Thailand offer considerable scope for Vinachem to expand distribution channels and benefit from the Viet Nam–Laos Bilateral Trade Agreement and the Viet Nam–Laos Border Trade Agreement.

Strengthening Subsidiary Networks, Building a Sustainable Distribution Chain in Laos

Participation in VIETLAO EXPO 2026 is part of Vinachem’s strategy to boost trade promotion and broaden export markets in the coming period. Beyond promoting the Group’s image, brand, and production–business capability, the fair provides an opportunity for Vinachem to connect with commercial partners, importers, and distributors in Laos, and to gradually establish a stable distribution system for its fertilisers, consumer chemicals, tyres, and batteries.

According to the planned programme, the fair will open on 16th July 2026, with a welcoming ceremony, speeches from the Ministers of Industry and Trade of Laos and Vietnam, a ribbon-cutting event, and tours of the exhibition stands. From 17th to 20th July, the fair will host trade exchanges, product demonstrations, and a trade and investment promotion conference for businesses from both countries.

With the participation of nine subsidiaries across four core product lines, VIETLAO EXPO 2026 marks a concrete step for Vinachem in reaffirming its role as a key state enterprise in Vietnam’s chemical industry, while further strengthening economic and trade relations between Vietnam and Laos in this new phase of development.
