04:30 PM @ Tuesday - 21 April, 2026

On April 21, 2026, Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem) held a working session with the National Agricultural Extension Center to agree on the orientation for implementing a comprehensive cooperation program for the period 2026–2030. The cooperation focuses on improving the effectiveness of agricultural extension activities, supporting producers in accessing quality agricultural inputs, and promoting green agriculture models and sustainable production in line with market demands.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Nguyễn Văn Luyện – Deputy General Director of Vinachem, and Mr. Lê Quốc Thanh, Director of the National Agricultural Extension Center.

According to discussions, both sides affirmed that collaboration should be based on the strengths and resources of each unit. The National Agricultural Extension Center has an extensive organizational network closely connected to the grassroots, while Vinachem boasts strong capabilities in supplying fertilizers, chemicals, and technical solutions for agricultural production. On this basis, the Vinachem Agriculture Program was identified as the core platform for coordinated activities.

One of the main goals of the program is to enhance the effectiveness of agricultural extension through training, coaching, and technical consulting for farmers, cooperatives, and stakeholders in the value chain. Training content will be closely linked to production realities, focusing on the proper, economical, and safe use of agricultural inputs tailored to regional conditions. Technology transfer will also be implemented through demonstration models, making it easier for producers to access and apply new advancements.

Additionally, the two parties will jointly develop specialized training programs to enhance the capacity of agricultural extension staff. The training will not only cover cultivation techniques but also include digital transformation in agriculture, consulting skills, market analysis, and organizing production towards sustainability. This is considered a key factor in improving the quality of agricultural extension activities amid changing production requirements.

Communication and networking are also major components of the cooperation program. The two sides will co-organize seminars, forums, and thematic conferences to share information and connect experts, enterprises, and producers. At the same time, trade promotion and supply-demand connection activities will be implemented to support product consumption and create stable market outlets for farmers.

Building and replicating effective production models is also set as a specific task. These models will focus on green, circular, environmentally friendly production and climate change adaptation. Based on pilot models, both sides will evaluate technical and economic efficiency, then propose suitable replication plans for various production regions.

During implementation, careful surveys, selection of locations, target groups, and crops will be conducted. Pilot models will be regularly monitored and assessed for timely adjustments. Summarizing and drawing lessons from each stage will also help perfect the coordination methods between the two sides.

Another notable aspect is the collaboration in building and utilizing a production-oriented database. Both sides will share information on market demand, production conditions, and practical feedback to support technical consulting and production planning. Additionally, a system of professional documents, technical manuals, articles, and instructional videos will be developed and updated to serve agricultural extension and communication activities.

Besides domestic activities, Vinachem will accompany the National Agricultural Extension Center in organizing the “Excellent Agricultural Extension” program and will also cooperate in implementing some extension programs in Angola and other African countries. This marks a step toward expanding cooperation to international markets while contributing to sharing experiences and production models suited to the conditions of developing countries.

The comprehensive cooperation program between Vinachem and the National Agricultural Extension Center is expected to help enhance agricultural production efficiency, support farmers in accessing appropriate techniques and inputs, and promote the transition toward sustainable agriculture in the coming period.
