LME Copper declines on low China GDP growth

LONDON (Commodity Online): London Metal Exchange base metal prices showed a mixed trend on Friday.

Aluminium Alloy, Nickel and Tin prices gained on Friday while all other metal prices futures headed in negative direction.

LME copper fell by 0.18% to $8165 a metric ton on Friday after data showed China's economy grew slower than expected in the first quarter, reviving doubts about second-quarter demand from the world's biggest copper user.

LME Price Highlights:


--Aluminium alloy advanced 0.76% to $1965 a metric ton

--Aluminium dipped 1.13% to $2045.50 per metric ton

--Copper slipped 0.18% to $8165 a metric ton

--Lead dipped 0.4% to $2072 per metric ton

--Nickel advanced 1.09% to $ 18395 a metric ton

--Tin gained 0.11% to $22625 per metric ton

--Zinc slipped 0.42% to $ 2012 a metric ton

--Steel dipped 0.81% to $489 per metric ton
