CASUMINA Accelerates Digital Transformation in Management and Production
Industry and Trade Magazine03:12 PM @ Monday - 24 August, 2026
In line with Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW and Vinachem’s digital transformation roadmap, Casumina is incorporating digital technology into management and production through concrete solutions. From ERP, paperless enterprise, sales and electronic logistics management, the company is progressing towards AI SmartBI, Smart Factory, E-LIMS and CMMS in its 2026–2030 roadmap.

Linking Resolution 57 with Digital Transformation Initiatives
Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated 22 December 2024 of the Politburo, calling for breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, is being concretised by the Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem) through governance, administration, and production activities.
On 13 February 2026, Vinachem’s Members’ Council issued Decision No. 88/QĐ-HCVN on the comprehensive digital transformation plan for 2026–2030.
The plan outlines key tasks from developing and completing application systems; building infrastructure and data; ensuring information security; to training and enhancing digital awareness and skills.

According to the scheme, by the end of 2026, Vinachem aims for 100% of staff to use digital technology in management, and to digitise 80% of databases and business processes. By 2030, the Group expects to have basically completed digital transformation, with management and operations on digital platforms, and 100% of databases and processes digitised.
At Casumina, this overall direction has been translated into specific company actions. The company has established a Digital Transformation Steering Committee (Decision No. 760/QĐ-CSM dated 23 October 2025); formulated the Casumina Digital Transformation Scheme for 2025–2030, with a vision to 2045; and integrated these tasks into its business and transformation plans for 2026.
Thus, the implementation of Resolution 57 at Casumina follows a roadmap from completing mechanisms and organisation, through stepwise digitisation of processes, data connectivity, and the expansion of technological applications in management and production.
Applying Digital Platforms in Management and Operations
In the first six months of 2026, Casumina focused on four projects: the ERP system; paperless enterprise platform; smart management and sales website; and the electronic logistics management system based on the paperless platform.

On the ERP system, the company has upgraded all accounting and tax modules as required; deployed online material consumption alerts; and introduced automatic splitting of short orders in the ERP. Adding automation has reduced manual work and increased accuracy in processing.
The paperless enterprise system was officially launched on 1 March 2026. According to the company, all employees have been trained; material report APIs are integrated into the central approval flow, and user accounts are synchronised. This marks a shift from traditional file and workflow processing to a digital environment, enabling better progress monitoring and centralisation of operations.
In business, the new smart management and sales website has gone live on two domains. As of the report date, 1,063 products and 37,775 customers have been synchronised from ERP, and GIS map modules have been integrated. Linking ERP data with the sales platform enables broader data exploitation, from internal management to product, customer, and distribution management.
“From 1 March 2026, Casumina’s paperless enterprise system went live; the smart management and sales website has synchronised 1,063 products and 37,775 customers from ERP.”
Logistics has also been digitised, with the electronic warehouse management system implemented on the paperless enterprise platform, synchronising logistics data to improve transparency and operational efficiency. Thus, digitisation now spans not only office functions but also sales, distribution, and logistics.
In laboratory operations, Casumina has refined AI OCR to extract data from R&D and Radial lab forms, integrating management and digital signature of results. AI/ML automation has also been applied to some ERP tasks. These achievements lay the groundwork for further AI adoption and the deployment of an advanced laboratory management system in the next phase.
Training has also been a focus: Casumina has completed paperless enterprise training across units and plans ongoing, specialised training to strengthen digital adaptation among staff.
Reviewing 2026 objectives, Casumina has achieved 47% completion, with 53% of work ongoing. Remaining tasks focus on completing deployed modules and expanding technology into more highly automated processes.
Focusing on Data, AI, and Smart Manufacturing
For the second half of 2026, Casumina has identified five key project groups: AI SmartBI; Smart Factory; E-LIMS laboratory management; CMMS equipment maintenance; and further development of ERP and the paperless enterprise.
These are ongoing rather than newly completed tasks; expected outcomes include higher productivity, reduced costs, greater accuracy, and improved decision-making.
AI SmartBI is designed for unified data, KPI monitoring, and early alerting, supporting analysis and management decisions. SmartBI demonstrates the shift from data digitisation to data-driven management and operations.

In production, Smart Factory is built for enhanced identification, monitoring, and traceability at every stage. Under Casumina’s model, a QR code is generated from the production order to identify each tyre; QR codes and NFC are used to identify machines, lines, and workstations.
A key feature of the model is the creation of virtual warehouses at the Forming, Curing, and QC areas to monitor movement, location, and tyre status. In the curing stage, the system plans to link information on casing, machine, line, workstation, shift/day, and operator, with alerts for discrepancies between casing type, mould, and machine settings.
Automated identification and data capture will be further expanded through the use of sensors and AI-enabled cameras to scan QR codes as tyres exit the curing press, logging actual output into ERP. Casumina also plans to install additional readers at four balancing machines to control quality before moving to the next stage; all production and quality data will be synchronised with ERP for statistics and reporting.
“The focus for the second half of 2026 is AI SmartBI, Smart Factory, E-LIMS, CMMS, and ongoing ERP and paperless enterprise development.”
E-LIMS is the next step from Casumina’s smart laboratory initiatives, moving towards centralised, automated handling of lab data, integrated results, and streamlined queries.
CMMS is designed to digitise equipment and maintenance management, from equipment records to planning, maintenance tasks, material management, and cost control, aiming for more proactive maintenance, fewer breakdowns, and better asset utilisation.
ERP and the paperless enterprise will continue to be improved for management and legal compliance, increasing synchronisation between business processes and the platforms used in the company.
Regarding the digitalisation infrastructure, Casumina’s report specifically evaluates digital infrastructure, data, software systems, and information security; it illustrates the data connectivity and transmission model, application layers, data warehouse, and real-time monitoring and diagnostics system. This infrastructure is essential for new applications to connect, share, and exploit data during implementation.
The overall goal for the second half of 2026 is “Sustainable Growth – Smart Operation – Data-Driven”, with an expected scale of 2,000 reports and 700,000 transactions per month.
Looking at the full roadmap, from ERP and paperless enterprise to data, AI, and smart manufacturing projects, Casumina’s implementation of Resolution 57 is tied to each business challenge. The focus is not only on digitising existing processes, but on connecting data, reducing manual work, increasing monitoring, and embedding technology more deeply in management, operations, and production.

A Milestone in Casumina’s Digital Transformation
In October 2025, Casumina was honoured at the Vietnam Digital Awards in the “Outstanding Digital Transformation Enterprise” category for its “Smart Manufacturing and Export System”.
