DAP No. 2 – Vinachem: Impressive Business Growth, Continued Improvement in Employee Income

On the morning of April 1, 2026, DAP No. 2 - Vinachem Joint Stock Company successfully held its 2026 Employees’ Conference at the company headquarters, with the participation of 97 staff and employee representatives from all company units.

Attending and directing the conference were Mr. Phùng Quang Hiệp – Member of the Party Committee of the Government, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Members of Vietnam National Chemical Group; Mr. Đào Trọng Cường – Deputy General Director of the Group; and Mr. Nguyễn Huy Thông – Chairman of the Vietnam Chemical Industry Trade Union.

Outstanding Business Results, Well-Assured Employee Welfare

According to the report on the 2025 Employees’ Conference Resolution implementation and the 2026 orientations and tasks, in 2025, despite many difficulties related to apatite ore supply and rising raw material costs, the company still achieved outstanding results: produced 223,168 tons of DAP (101% of the plan), sold 222,699 tons; revenue reached VND 3,531.95 billion (123% of the plan); profit reached VND 381.78 billion (nearly six times the planned target).

Mr. Nguyễn Văn Tú, Deputy General Director and Chairman of the Company's Trade Union, reported on the implementation results of the 2025 Employee Conference Resolution and the directions and tasks for 2026.

A key highlight is the company’s consistent prioritization of comprehensive employee welfare. Average income reached VND 17.82 million/person/month, up 19% from the previous year; the wage fund exceeded the plan and closely aligned with business performance. Social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, trade union dues, reward and welfare funds, and social security funds were all fully, openly, and transparently implemented at the conference for employee monitoring.

The Chief Accountant of Dap 2 - Vinachem shall publicly disclose the appropriation levels for the reward fund, welfare fund, and social security fund; the contribution of trade union fees, social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance; and financial statements regarding contents related to employees.

Through the Trade Union, many practical care activities were regularly maintained, such as visiting employees during illness, maternity, bereavements, and celebrations; supporting struggling union members; rewarding innovations; organizing tours and vacations; and giving gifts for holidays and Tet—with total expenditures of VND 1.4 billion for the year. The working environment was improved to be “Bright – Green – Clean – Beautiful”; occupational safety, fire prevention, and environmental protection were strictly controlled, with no serious labor accidents or environmental incidents.

The Head of HR Department reports on the revisions and supplements to the Collective Labour Agreement and Internal Labour Regulations.

The company focused on training, rational restructuring and use of labor; encouraged technical innovation, with 18 recognized initiatives; effectively implemented workplace democracy, organized direct dialogues, and amended and supplemented the collective labor agreement—signed immediately at the conference, demonstrating the partnership between employer and employees.

Additionally, the company accelerated investment, especially with the implementation of the Gypsum Treatment and Recycling Project (capacity 850,000 tons/year), gradually solving environmental issues and laying the foundation for sustainable growth. Technical innovation and emulation movements were widely promoted, with many individuals and teams receiving awards at various levels.

Mr. Vũ Việt Tiến, General Director of Dap 2 - Vinachem, addressed the employees' petitions at the conference.

Key Directions for 2026: Enhancing Efficiency, Sustainable Development

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Phùng Quang Hiệp, Chairman of the Board of Members of Vietnam National Chemical Group, acknowledged and highly appreciated the company’s efforts in overcoming difficulties in 2025, emphasizing that this is one of the Group’s standout growth units and that it has ensured good employee welfare, affirming that employees are at the center of development.

Mr. Phùng Quang Hiệp, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam National Chemical Group, delivered a keynote address at the conference.

He outlined five key groups of tasks for the company to focus on:

  • Enhancing product quality, maintaining the brand, staying close to the market: Continue to improve product quality, maintain the DAP Lào Cai brand with DAP 60 as the flagship product; develop a roadmap for new product development and diversify products; closely monitor market trends, seasons, and demand to set flexible production, sales, pricing, and sales policies.
  • Boosting repairs, investment, and automation; proactively sourcing materials and controlling costs and risks: Review repair and investment work, control consumption norms in line with product quality; increase automation; proactively source raw materials, diversify apatite ore, ammonia, and sulfur supplies; optimize mixing, reduce consumption, and lower production costs.
  • Ensuring occupational and environmental safety: Strictly control gypsum waste sites, recover and recycle gypsum filtrate water; manage emissions and wastewater efficiently; maintain a bright, green, clean, and beautiful landscape; organize regular fire prevention and chemical/environmental incident response drills.
  • Accelerating EPC contract and project settlements: Expedite the settlement of the EPC contract and complete the settlement of the DAP No. 2 Plant project.
  • Streamlining the organization, maintaining internal unity, encouraging innovation, and caring for employees: Continue to streamline the organization; establish appropriate reward mechanisms for innovations; pay attention to jobs, income, and employee policies.

Responding to these directions, Mr. Vũ Việt Tiến, General Director of the company, affirmed the commitment to meeting the 2026 targets, focusing on production and sales, maintaining stable jobs and incomes, and further promoting innovation and technical improvement movements.

At the conference, the company elected the People’s Inspectorate for the 2026–2028 term, announced commendation decisions, and adopted the 2026 Employees’ Conference Resolution with high consensus, creating new momentum for all staff and employees as they enter the new planning year.
