Inauguration of the “Pickleball Court” Project to Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Southern Basic Chemicals Joint Stock Company
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Southern Basic Chemicals Joint Stock Company (April 19, 1976 – April 19, 2026), on April 12, 2026, at the Long Thành Super Phosphate Plant Residential Area, the Company’s Trade Union, in coordination with the Plant’s Trade Union, organized a ceremony to inaugurate the “Pickleball Court” project and launch the 2026 Pickleball Tournament.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Vietnam National Chemical Group, the Vietnam Chemical Industry Trade Union, including Mr. Nguyễn Văn Quý – Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Chemical Group and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company; Mr. Tăng Văn Quân – Controller of the Group; and Mr. Nguyễn Huy Thông – Chairman of the Vietnam Chemical Industry Trade Union.
Representing the leadership of Southern Basic Chemicals Joint Stock Company were Mr. Đỗ Văn Tuấn – Secretary of the Party Committee and General Director; Mr. Nguyễn Đức Trường – Chairman of the Company’s Trade Union; along with members of the Executive Board, Standing Committee of the Trade Union, department heads, affiliated units, and a large number of union members and employees.
The Pickleball Court was completed and put into use just in time for the celebration. Employees now have an additional space for physical activity after work, providing more opportunities to meet and connect beyond their daily tasks. Such spaces, although simple in appearance, play a very practical role in improving morale—making employees healthier, more comfortable, and fostering stronger bonds.
Immediately after the inauguration, the Company’s 2026 Pickleball Tournament was officially launched in an enthusiastic and lively atmosphere. The tournament is a meaningful activity designed to create a healthy, beneficial playground for staff, union members, and employees; while also promoting exchange, learning, and strengthening unity among all units within the Company. The athletes participating in the tournament come from: Southern Rubber Industry Joint Stock Company, VINA Plasticizer Chemical Co., Ltd., Long Thành Port Joint Stock Company, Đồng Nai Port Joint Stock Company, and Gò Dầu Border Guard Station, promising exciting and dramatic matches that help spread a spirit of sportsmanship and health throughout the Company.
The project inauguration and sports event organization are not only practical highlights toward the Company’s 50th anniversary but also demonstrate comprehensive care for employees—a key factor for the sustainable development of the Company in this new era.
