Vietnam Apatit Limited Company (VINAAPACO): United in Overcoming Challenges, Determined to Fulfill All Tasks
Translated by Phương Thảo03:20 PM @ Thursday - 02 April, 2026
On the afternoon of April 1, 2026, in Lao Cai, Vietnam Apatit Limited Company (VINAAPACO) successfully held its 2026 Employees’ Conference.
Attending the conference were Mr. Phùng Quang Hiệp – Member of the Party Committee of the Government, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Members of Vietnam National Chemical Group; Mr. Đào Trọng Cường – Deputy General Director of the Group; Mr. Nguyễn Huy Thông – Chairman of the Vietnam Chemical Industry Trade Union; representatives of the Group’s specialized departments and the sector’s Trade Union, along with 193 exemplary employee delegates from the company.

Overcoming Difficulties, Surpassing Many 2025 Targets
Reports at the conference showed that in 2025, the company operated under many challenges, especially prolonged issues with land clearance, waste dump arrangements, extension and licensing of new mining sites; increasingly deep mining conditions and complex geology; and declining quantity and quality of apatite ore for mineral processing.

However, thanks to close direction from the Group, support from local authorities, and the unity and efforts of all employees, the company basically completed and surpassed many key targets:
- Industrial production value reached VND 3,940 billion, exceeding the plan.
- Revenue reached VND 3,798 billion.
- Pre-tax profit reached VND 605.89 billion, 143% of the plan.
Apatite ore production exceeded 1.9 million tons. The average monthly wage per employee reached VND 22.5 million, up over 26% compared to the previous year.
Notably, cost management and material savings were outstanding, with a savings value of over VND 46 billion, more than twice the planned target. Debt recovery, financial management, capital construction, land management, mechanical/electrical, and environmental safety were all implemented comprehensively and effectively.

Comprehensive Employee Welfare – The Foundation for Sustainable Development
One of the key topics at the conference was the implementation of policies and employee care in 2025. Given the demanding, hazardous nature of mining and mineral processing, Vietnam Apatit Limited Company sees employee welfare not only as a responsibility but as a fundamental solution for stabilizing production and retaining human resources.
Income improved significantly, distributed transparently and fairly. In 2025, the average wage reached VND 22.5 million/person/month, up over 26% from the previous year and far exceeding the set target. Salary settlement and payments were made fully and promptly, ensuring confidence and peace of mind among all staff.

Employee healthcare was given top priority. The company organized periodic health checks and occupational disease screenings for over 3,100 employees; conducted workplace environmental measurements; organized first aid training; and maintained primary healthcare at all units. Health monitoring and job assignments were strictly implemented, especially in heavy and hazardous positions.
Welfare, social security, and spiritual life were comprehensively addressed. In 2025, the company allocated over VND 17 billion for social security, welfare, and employee care activities. Cultural and sports activities were regularly held across units, creating a vibrant, cohesive working environment. Special attention was given to supporting employees in difficult circumstances, policy families, and those facing illness or accidents.
A safe, stable working environment was a top priority. Occupational safety, fire prevention, and environmental protection were consistently and systematically monitored at all mining sites and processing plants. Employees received regular safety training, were fully equipped with personal protective equipment, and worked in conditions that were continuously improved.
By fully and promptly implementing policies and caring for both the physical and mental well-being of employees, the company fostered unity and engagement, which contributed significantly to surpassing many business and production targets over the past year.
Resolving Bottlenecks in Mining and Processing for 2026
Looking ahead to 2026, the company expects to face ongoing challenges in resources, mining sites, waste dumps, and ore supply for processing. The main goal is to focus on resolving “bottlenecks” in land clearance, completing legal documents for mining sites, investing in waste dump infrastructure, and improving mineral processing efficiency for low-grade and hard-to-process ore.
The 2026 plan targets production and consumption of 1.99 million tons of apatite ore; revenue of VND 4,447 billion; pre-tax profit of VND 652 billion; and an average monthly wage target of VND 26 million/person.
The company will also accelerate digital transformation in equipment management, production operations, land and financial management; promote technological improvements in processing; and enhance recovery and efficient use of ore resources.
Group Leadership Recognition and Guidance
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Phùng Quang Hiệp – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Members of Vietnam National Chemical Group – acknowledged the outstanding achievements made by over 1,850 staff and employees of Vietnam Apatit Limited Company in 2025, and generally agreed with the 2026 orientation and tasks. However, he suggested that the company analyze its shortcomings more deeply, emphasizing that “only by correctly identifying problems can we find effective solutions.”

Given the ongoing volatility due to natural disasters, supply chain disruptions, and geopolitical conflicts worldwide, he noted that in 2025, Vietnam National Chemical Group still successfully fulfilled its tasks—most notably, the parent company completely erased accumulated losses after nine years, creating reserves for reinvestment in member units. Within this success, Vietnam Apatit Limited Company holds a particularly important “upstream” role, supplying raw materials for the Group’s entire fertilizer production chain. The company’s 2025 profit exceeded VND 600 billion, with average income above VND 26 million/person/month—among the highest in the Group.
Looking to 2026, he candidly pointed out that the greatest challenge remains ore supply and mining site availability. This is a matter of survival not only for Vietnam Apatit Limited Company but for the Group’s entire fertilizer production chain. He stated that the Group has proactively worked with ministries and agencies and sought imported ore sources to ensure production materials, but the fundamental solution remains overcoming local difficulties. He hopes that local authorities will continue to support and cooperate even more strongly in land clearance.

He also emphasized the need to quickly implement projects for tailings and low-grade ore processing—a huge resource that could generate hundreds of billions of dong annually if effectively utilized. In the long term, the company needs to research and develop value-added processed products rather than stopping at raw material extraction.
On management, he urged a comprehensive review of all consumption norms and repair costs; bold application of automation and digital transformation in production management; and especially close attention to environmental, occupational safety, and mining legal documentation. He also requested that the company continue to streamline its organizational structure, focus on planning and training future leaders, and maintain internal unity—a decisive factor in overcoming difficult periods.
Expressing confidence in the unity and determination of the company's leadership and employees, together with the support of local authorities and the Group, Mr. Phùng Quang Hiệp affirmed that Vietnam Apatit Limited Company will overcome challenges and successfully fulfill the 2026 tasks, creating a solid foundation for the development phase to 2030 and vision to 2045.

At the conference, the company announced commendations for numerous teams and individuals with outstanding achievements, and launched the 2026 production emulation movement, demonstrating its determination to comprehensively accomplish all assigned targets.
The conference voted to adopt the 2026 Employees’ Conference Resolution in an atmosphere of unity and high consensus, reflecting the determination of all staff and employees of Vietnam Apatit Limited Company to enter the new year with proactivity, creativity, and responsibility.
