Casumina: 2024 profit reached VND 89.1 billion, achieving 111% of the plan

On March 28, 2025, The Southern Rubber Industry Joint Stock Company (CASUMINA) successfully held the 2024 Employee Delegate Conference. Attending the Conference were Mr. Phung Quang Hiep, Member of the Party Committee of the Government, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Members of Vietnam National Chemical Group; Mr. Le Hoang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Deputy General Director of the Group; Mr. Nguyen Huy Thong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Chemical Industry Trade Union, and 277 employees representing more than 1900 employees of the company.

In 2024, despite being affected by the general global economic situation, thanks to drastic solutions from the State, Vietnam's economic situation recovered significantly, growth showed positive signs, inflation was lower than the target, and major balances were ensured. Vietnam became a bright spot for economic growth in the region and the world. In this general context, the Southern Rubber Industry Joint Stock Company proactively developed production and business solutions suitable to the actual situation, striving to implement the production and business plan targets for 2024. Specifically: The value of industrial production (actual price) reached VND 4,649 billion, equivalent to 109% of the plan; Total revenue reached VND 5,093 billion, equivalent to 101% of the plan; Profit reached VND 89.1 billion, equivalent to 111% of the plan; Average income reached VND 12.4 million/person/month, equivalent to 113.5% of the plan.

During the year, the Company's system of regulations and rules was updated and amended in a timely manner, in accordance with the provisions of law. The implementation of these regulations aims to ensure the regime and policies for employees. At the same time, the Company periodically inspects and supervises units to ensure the correct implementation of the issued contents. 100% of the Company's employees have labor contracts, and the Company has correctly implemented the regulations on wages, salary payment, and policies on schedule. The Company has harmonized the interests of employees, continued to ensure job stability, fully implemented the prescribed regimes, and improved the material and spiritual lives of employees.

The Company issued emulation standards with criteria to improve quality and efficiency in production and business, focusing on savings and continuous emulation in ensuring labor safety, hygiene, and fire and explosion prevention. Employees actively participated in emulation movements, creating a vibrant atmosphere in the units and continuing to maintain the movement to promote ideas and initiatives. All emulation movements were preliminarily reviewed, summarized, and rewarded. During the year, the total amount of rewards for the comprehensive emulation movement was VND 1,196,150,000.

The movement to gather creative ideas and initiatives continued to be maintained. During the year, there were 2,054 ideas, of which 1,594 ideas were implemented. In addition, 47 initiatives were recognized, and 8 initiatives were submitted to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for consideration for the Creative Labor Certificate. During the year, the Company's Trade Union had 2 individuals awarded the title "Excellent Worker of Vietnam National Chemical Group" for the period 2022-2024 by the Group.

In 2024, the Company fully and on time paid social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance. The Company also promptly completed procedures for employees to enjoy benefits upon resignation and retirement. The Company continued to maintain the purchase of 24/24 personal accident insurance for employees, organized periodic health checks for all employees, and ensured employment and income for employees. In addition to paying monthly salaries, in 2024, the Company also had salary support plans for units with low income.

Besides, the Company's Trade Union also did a good job in caring for and supporting union members facing difficulties, illness, or sudden accidents. The Trade Union also monitored industrial meal quality per shift to ensure the health of employees at a rate of VND 30,000/meal. In addition, the Trade Union organized tours and vacations for employees, cared for female employees, and children of employees with congenital diseases or those overcoming difficulties to excel in their studies.

The Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Company directed mass organizations to coordinate in organizing many practical activities to care for the spiritual life of employees in 2024, including: Hosting the Casumina cross-country running competition among units in Emulation Cluster No. 5 – Vinachem; Organizing the writing contest "Casumina – Connecting People" to celebrate the 48th anniversary of the Company's establishment; Participating in the Sports Festival of Emulation Cluster No. 5, the Arts Festival of Vietnam National Chemical Group, the photo contest "Vinachem's Beauty," the "Trade Union's Embrace" program, and the contest to learn about the tradition of the Industry and Trade sector; Units regularly and proactively organized many internal sports tournaments and created conditions for sports teams to practice and compete in friendly matches such as tug-of-war, mini-football, karaoke singing contests, badminton tournaments, cooking contests, chess and Chinese chess tournaments, and volleyball tournaments.

Social security work continued to be maintained with activities such as visiting and giving gifts to policy beneficiary families, visiting trade union members and employees who are war invalids or relatives of martyrs on July 27th. The Company also coordinated with the trade union to carry out activities to support and give gifts to disadvantaged employees on the occasion of Tet, provided support to union members and employees whose families were affected by Typhoon Yagi, and coordinated with trade unions at all levels to consider supporting funds for building or repairing "Trade Union Shelter" for employees facing housing difficulties and currently working at the Company.

Labor safety, hygiene, fire and explosion prevention, and environmental protection have always been a concern of the Company. During the year, the Company spent over VND 24 billion on this work. The Company actively implemented activities to respond to the "Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health 2024," "Earth Hour Campaign," "Action Month for the Environment," and "World Environment Day"; Maintained the implementation of the ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system standard for factories and company offices; Organized periodic training on occupational safety and health, fire and explosion prevention, and strict equipment operation for more than 2,300 participants, and organized inspections of occupational safety and health, fire and explosion prevention, and environmental protection. During the year, there were no fires, explosions, or incidents causing disorder and insecurity in the unit.
