Prices of domestic gold rings continued their upward trajectory on September 27, reaching an all-time high of VND83.35 million per tael and being equal to the selling price of SJC gold bars for the first time.

Doji Group bought and sold gold rings at VND82.75 million and VND83.35 million per tael, marking an increase of VND100,000 compared to the previous trading session.

Elsewhere, Saigon Gold and Jewelry Company rated each tael of SJC gold rings at VND81.5 million for buying and VND83 million for selling, up VND200,000 and VND300,000 per tael, respectively, from the transactions on September 26.

Furthermore, prices of gold rings at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company were quoted at VND83.34 million and VND82.54 million per tael for buying and selling, rising by VND300,000 per tael compared to the trading session one day ago.

Meanwhile, the price of gold bars remained stable at VND83.5 million per tael, despite the rising global gold price recorded over the past couple of days.

Specifically, both Doji Group and Saigon Gold and Jewelry Company listed each tael of SJC gold bar at VND81.5 million and VND83.5 million per tael, the same as those offered at the beginning of the week.

Globally, gold prices edged higher on September 27, reaching a new peak of US$2,673 per ounce, up US$10 per ounce compared to the previous trading session.

Gold prices reached an all-time high after the US Federal Reserve moved to cut interest rates by 0.5%, thereby further weakening the US dollar, according to international experts.

Domestic gold prices are therefore predicted to continue rising in the time to come amid increasing global gold prices.
