HA NOI — The Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) held a ceremony on Saturday to grant Thanh Giong awards to 100 honourable entrepreneurs, who have made outstanding achievements in production and business whilst creating many jobs.

To Huy Rua, member of the Politburo and head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Publicity and Education.

The businesses had overcome many difficulties to become successful, and taken full advantage of opportunities provided in order to restructure their companies and do business in a way that was environmentally friendly with a good relationship with their staff as well as good corporate governance.

Besides the criteria of revenue and bold investments in technology, the organisers also included some additional criteria this year, including being dynamic and creative in management, and active participation in environmental protection.

Some of the winners this year included Thai Tuan Chi - chairman and general director of Thai Tuan JSC, Bui Ngoc Bao - chairman of the management board of the Viet Nam National Petroleum Corporation, Nguyen Thi Dieu Hien - chairman and CEO of the Binh An Seafood JSC, Nguyen The An - chairman of the construction Viet Nguyen JSC, and Tao Van Nghe - director of HCM City Rex Hotel.
