Da Nang Chemical Industries Joint Stock Company (CICO) and Quang Nam Mineral Engineering Joint Stock Company (MINCO) are preparing investment project to build Sodium Silicate Cullet Plant: capacity of 120,000 ton per year in Quang Nam province with technology and advanced equipment to provide products for domestic and export market as raw materials for manufacturing detergents, ceramic tiles, textiles, construction materials,...

This is a project highly feasible because:
• Make use of raw materials available locally.
• To meet the demand is increasing for the relevant industry in the region and country
• Ensure quality products for supply to markets in Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Philippines, China ,....
• Restricting or banning the export of raw Silica sand will begin in 2011 will make the partners of MINCO and CICO will change from buying silica sand to buy Sodium Silicate, this is good opportunity to implement and expand the project.
• The investment in creating a new product is made from Silica sand will fit economic development policy of the State of Vietnam. Sodium Silicate is a basic raw material for production of silica, while the industry development in Vietnam, the demand will be huge, global industry trends Silica is growing very hot, especially in the automobile tire industry .
