The Vietnam Detergent Chemicals Market is projected to grow from USD 58.9 billion in 2025 to USD 85.6 billion by 2031, at a CAGR of 6.4%. Rising demand for laundry care, dishwashing products, industrial cleaning, and institutional sanitation is driving growth. Surfactants remain the largest segment, though enzymes and specialty additives are gaining importance due to efficiency and environmental benefits. In Vietnam, increasing hygiene awareness post-pandemic has accelerated detergent use in both households and commercial spaces. Rapid urbanization, improved living standards, and higher disposable income are also shaping market expansion. Over the next decade, green chemistry and bio-based alternatives will be key innovation areas as the sector adapts to stricter sustainability demands.
Replacing chemical fertilizers with organic fertilizers is widely regarded as an important pathway to mitigating agricultural pollution and promoting green agricultural development. However, the current adoption rate of organic fertilizers among farmers remains low, which means that their economic and environmental benefits have not yet been fully realized. A recent study by Chinese researchers employed evolutionary game theory to conduct an in-depth analysis of the factors influencing farmers’ decisions to adopt organic fertilizers, while also proposing a breakthrough solution through the application of digital technologies.
On the morning of January 27, 2026, Comrade Nguyen Huu Tu, General Director of Vietnam National Chemical Group (VINACHEM), along with a working delegation, visited, extended Tet greetings, and presented gifts to workers and employees at Viet Tri Chemical JSC, the College of Chemical Industry, and Lam Thao Fertilizers and Chemicals JSC on the occasion of the Binh Ngo Spring.
The mining and metals industry—one of the world’s oldest and most traditional industries—is undergoing a historic transformation. Beyond merely meeting the growing demands of the global economy, the sector is redefining its role: shifting from extraction to responsible resource stewardship, and contributing to the resolution of urgent challenges such as climate change and geopolitical instability.
As global food security faces mounting pressure from climate change, population growth, and soil resource degradation, the fertilizer industry is confronted with the need for structural transformation. Farming practices that rely primarily on increasing the application of chemical fertilizers—while once instrumental in boosting yields—have now revealed clear limitations in nutrient-use efficiency and environmental impact.
Messages from Leader
To develop VINACHEM into a powerful economic group; to own centralised chemical complexes equipped with state of the art technology; to focus on environmental protection, products could be competitive, satisfying domestic demand and strengthening export
