Spring Pilgrimage to Cai Bau Pagoda on the Occasion of International Women’s Day for Female Staff of Vietnam National Chemical Group

02:31 PM @ Monday - 16 March, 2026

On the occasion of International Women’s Day (March 8), on March 14, 2026, the Trade Union of the Vietnam National Chemical Group (VINACHEM) organized a spring outing for female employees to several spiritual sites in Quang Ninh Province, including Cai Bau Pagoda, Cua Ong Temple, and Cap Tien Temple. This annual activity provides an opportunity for female staff members to meet, chat, and relax after months of busy work.

Participants in the trip included Mr. Nguyen Van Luyen, Deputy General Director of the Group and Head of the Committee for the Advancement of Women; Mr. Nguyen Huy Thong, Chairman of the Vietnam Chemical Industry Trade Union; and Mr. Phung Ngoc Bo, Head of the Technical Department and Chairman of the Trade Union of the Parent Company – Vietnam National Chemical Group. They were joined by female staff currently working at the Parent Company, the Chemical Trading and Services Center, and the Chemical Science and Technology Information Center.

The first stop was Cai Bau Pagoda, also known as Truc Lam Giac Tam Zen Monastery. The pagoda is nestled against a mountain and faces Bai Tu Long Bay, offering a spacious and tranquil landscape. From the courtyard, visitors can see the blue sea stretching out to the horizon and rows of low mountains in the distance. Many participants took time to stroll around the pagoda grounds, light incense at the beginning of the year, and pray for health, peace, and a smooth year ahead.

The group then continued to Cua Ong Temple, dedicated to Tran Quoc Tang, a well-known spiritual and historical site in northeastern Vietnam. The temple complex is quite spacious, and from its grounds visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the sea and the city in the distance. Many participants offered incense and took the opportunity to capture some memorable photos.

The next stop was Cap Tien Temple, located in Dong Xa Commune, Van Don Island District, Quang Ninh Province. The temple features traditional architecture and a quiet atmosphere. After performing rituals, the group spent some time walking around the temple grounds, chatting with colleagues, or taking commemorative photos.

Throughout the trip, it was easy to notice the participation of several generations of female employees within the Group. Some have devoted decades to the chemical industry, while others are young employees who have only recently started their careers. Their conversations covered many topics, from work to family and children. Yet these simple exchanges helped make the trip feel more personal and connected.
The annual spring outing for female staff is organized to create opportunities for women from different units to meet and interact outside the workplace. Such activities help colleagues understand one another better.

As the journey concluded in a warm and friendly atmosphere, the early spring pilgrimage was not simply a sightseeing trip to spiritual sites. It also offered participants a chance to pause from their daily routines, reconnect with colleagues, and begin the new year with a lighter and more positive mindset.
