Vietnam National Chemical Group implements the environmental protection law and related regulations
In response to increasing requirements for environmental protection, the Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem) has recently issued directives for its member units to strictly implement the provisions of the 2020 Environmental Protection Law (amended and supplemented in 2025) as well as other relevant legal documents.
Accordingly, the Group requires all one-member limited liability companies, capital representatives in enterprises, and affiliated public service units to promptly review and fully update their environmental legal documents, ensuring strict compliance with current regulations. At the same time, new regulations must be promptly disseminated to personnel responsible for environmental management and protection at each unit.

Along with completing documentation, all units are required to maintain stable operation of environmental treatment facilities, and to carry out maintenance and servicing of equipment according to standard procedures. All generated waste must be collected, managed, and treated to meet technical standards before being released into the environment.
Another important requirement is the urgent preparation of applications for environmental permits in accordance with current legal regulations, to avoid delays that could affect production and business activities.
As Vietnam gradually implements its emission reduction commitments, Vinachem also requires its units to proactively develop and implement solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Training and capacity building for emission inventory activities must be emphasized, together with strengthening specialized human resources.
Notably, units are required to gradually approach and increase awareness of the carbon market, proactively develop plans to prepare financial, human, technological, and equipment resources, aiming to be ready to participate in this market by 2029.
In addition, the Group also emphasizes the review and upgrading of existing exhaust gas treatment technology to meet new standards, including QCVN 19:2024/BTNMT, which is expected to take effect from January 1, 2032.

In parallel with technical solutions, Vinachem encourages its units to accelerate the application of information technology and digital transformation in environmental management. The development of a resource–environment database and the completion of information collection and management systems will be an important foundation serving both production and long-term environmental protection.
Furthermore, regular training on waste management and compliance with environmental laws for plant staff is required, to raise awareness and enhance implementation capacity throughout the system.

With these comprehensive solutions, Vietnam National Chemical Group aims not only to fully comply with environmental regulations but also to gradually enhance environmental management efficiency throughout the system. This will contribute to fulfilling emission reduction commitments and achieving the Net Zero goal set by Vietnam at COP26.
In parallel, the Group has issued a Green Transformation Program for the 2025–2030 period, with a vision to 2050. This is identified as one of the key pillars in its science and technology innovation strategy, closely linking social responsibility with the Group’s sustainable development goals.
