From Sep 13 – 17th 2010, LabourSafety Board examined industrial safety and hygiene and fire-explosionprevention and fighting 2010 at Vinachem’s companies in the South. Mr. Ngo Manh Hoai, Deputy President of Vinachemcum Chairman of Labour Safety Board leads the examination deligation, Ms.Nguyen Thi Hop, Vice Chairman of Viet Nam Industrial Chemical Trade Union, Mr. ChuVan Nguyen, Head of Technical Department, Mr. Pham Van Chuong, Deputy Head ofOrganisation – Personnel Department and other members of Labour Safety Boardare the members of the deligation.

The delegation had examination toursat CFC, BFC, SFC, SBCC, VIPESCO, CASUMINA, and so on.

Industrial safety and hygiene andfire-explosion prevention and fighting activities such as assigningresponsibilities on industrial safety, training industrial safety foremployees, planning fire-explosion prevention and fighting, setting up regularhealth check-up for labourers, etc were inspected. In the field, the delegationalso examined working condition and environment improvement activities, the safeoperation of machines and equipments, the implemention of safe regulations.

Besides, chemical management, poisonouswastes classification and preservation, chemical problem preventing and solvingplans, waste water treatment systems, etc were inspected.

In conclusion, companies generallycarry out industrial safety and hygiene and fire-explosion prevention andfighting activities very well. However, they have to try their best to makethese activities better and better as well as reduce industrial accidents andoccupational diseases. The delegation pointed out some weak points thatcompanies have to deal with in the near future.
