DAP No. 2 fertilizer production plant project is one of construction projects to celebrate the National Party Congress XII. After nearly 4 years of starting construction and test operation, the plant was put into operation.

The project was started construction on 72.4 ha area ground in Tang Loong Industrial Zone, Bao Thang district. With industrial-scale in level 2 of National Chemical Industry, projects with total investment of 5170.9 billion VND. DAP No.2 fertilizer JSC executed project implementation through EPC1 contractor (design, supply of equipment, construction) of foreign contractor and directly manage project, hired foreign consultants managing and constructing package EPC1. The plant uses technology and advanced equipment mainly from US and European countries. The plant has a production capacity around 330,000 tons DAP per year with total nutrient content more than 61% and the intermediate products as 420,000 tons of concentrated sulfuric acid and 162,000 tons of phosphoric acid, time in operating is 330 days / year.

The project was started construction on 26/12/2011 and after 3 years put into test. Project put into production officially on 07/01/2015 and has produced nearly 130,000 tons of DAP, in which was sold in the domestic market and export to foreign countries is 100,000 tons.

DAP No. 2 fertilizer production plant project go into operation will contribute to improve the output of DAP fertilizer production in domestic to 660,000 tons / year, basically meet the market demand, ensuring national food security and efficiently use of available resources of our country.

Mr. Nguyen Van Vinh said in ceremony

At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Vinh, Provincial Party Committee Secretary, on behalf of provincial leadership congratulated officials and employees of plant. Mr. Vinh affirmed that the project put into operation will contribute to serve the agricultural development of Lao Cai province in particular, and to meet the demand of fertilizer in domestic market in general. And for Lao Cai province, the project will contributed significantly to economic growth and solve employment for local labors.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai expressed his pleasure when DAP No. 2 project went into operation. Mr. Hai emphasized that DAP No. 2 Plant went into operation with DAP No. 1 Plant in Hai Phong contributed meeting 2/3 the demand in domestic market, reducing imports from abroad. The project is a major step marking the development of the chemical industry. In the international economic integration condition today, the project contributes increasing the competitiveness of domestic products with foreign products.

Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Hoang Trung Hai wants the company going to effort in production and business to ensure the long-term effectiveness of the project, and requested the company to enhance the role management, operation and safety for the community around the plant.
