On July 5, 2019,, Vietnam National Chemical Industry Group (Vinachem) organized a meeting to evaluate the production and business results of the second and the first 6 months of 2019, deploying the tasks of the third quarter of 2019 in Hai Phong.

The conference was heard Mr. Bui The Chuyen, Deputy General Director of the Group to report preliminary quarter II, first 6 months and deploy the tasks of the third quarter of 2019.

Accordingly, in quarter II/2019, Vinachem's production and business continued to face difficulties by the impact of macroeconomic factors, the State's policies and regulations. In addition, Vinachem also face to face difficulties in input materials, capital and production conditions, consumption market. Therefore, the production and business results of the Group in quarter II/2019 were not high compared to the same period last year, specifically: industrial production value calculated according to the actual price in quarter II was estimated 12,066 billion VND, down 3.2% compared to the task, down 2% over the same period; Accumulated in the first 6 months was estimated 22,262 billion VND, by 46.2% of the task of this year, down 3.6% compared to the same period in 2018. Revenue of quarter II was estimated at 13,392 billion VND, up 1.6% compared to the task, up 2.5% to the same period; Accumulated of 6 months was estimated 23,377 billion VND, by 46.9% of the task, down 4.2% compared to the same period of 2018. Gross profit in quarter II was estimated at 27.5 billion VND; 6 months profit estimated 40 billion VND. In which, 04 difficult unit members losing 636 billion VND, up 14% (DAP-Vinachem profit reached 23 billion, reduced 84% interest; DAP No. 2-Vinachem profit lost 114 billion VND, increased lost 14%; Hanichemco profit lost 260 billion VND, increase lost 53%, Ninh Binh Fertilizer Port JSC profit lost 286 billion VND, down lost 44% compared to the same period in 2018); the all the rest of unit members interest reached 676 billion VND, down 36% compared to the same period in 2018. State budget payment reached 430 billion VND, the accumulated of first 6 months was estimated 788 billion VND. In the second quarter and the first 6 months of the year, the Group always ensured enough employments for 22,670 employees with an average income of 8.54 million VND / person / month.

In the first 6 months, the Group produced and supplied 1.8 million tons of fertilizers of all kinds to the market; 1.5 million automobile tires; more than 3.2 million motorbike tires; 200 thousand tons of detergents and many chemical products for production demand and social life. Some products have increased output over the same period: Urea increased by 40.1%, Ammonia increased by 50.2%, Automobile tires increased by 4.4% but there are still products reduced output such as: Phosphate, NPK, apatite ore ...

For construction investment, the value of implementation in quarter II/2019 reached 195 billion VND; Accumulate of the first 6 months reached 407 billion VND, by 36.7% of the construction investment plan. In quarter II, the Group continued to concentrate highly on important projects such as: Van Dien Phosphate Fertilizer Factory project in Thanh Hoa province of VAFCO; leasing land and leasing infrastructure Project in Nhon Trach 6 Industrial Zone, Dong Nai province of SOCHEM; The project "Investing in electrolysis bottle with capacity of 10,000 tons of NaOH 100% / year replacing 2 electrolysis bottle DD350 in Bien Hoa Chemical Factory" of SOCHEM; Investment construction of sulfuric acid production line project with capacity 300,000 tons/year and combinating with electricity generation of LAFCHEMCO; Investment replacing technology systems and equipment project to produce caustic soda of VITRICHEM; Renting land, renting infrastructure project in An Phuoc Industrial Park in Dong Nai province of PINACO, etc.

In addition, the Group has actively participated in directing the implementation of production and business in joint venture companies; Implementing the campaign "Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods" and implement the regulation on the purchase and sale of products and services among unit members of the Group.
