According to Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), chemical fertilizers help raise over 50% of agricultural productivity in the past 100 years. However, only a small amount of fertilizer is absorbed by plants, large fertilizer amounts are lost resulting in more fertilizer application and environment pollution.

For recent years, Binh Dien Fertilizer Company (BFC) has taken the lead in the research and application of green technology for fertilizer production. These products of green technology, namely yellow grain urea Dau Trau 46+ and NPK Dau Trau + Agrotain, are the achievements of the cooperation between BFC and American scientists. Institute of Agricultural Sciences For Southern Vietnam and Mekong Delta Rice Research Institute experimentally used the above fertilizers for rices, vegetables, beans, etc in Can Tho, Soc Trang, Tien Giang, Lam Dong provinces, Ho Chi Minh City and so on. The experimental results show that Agrotain-containing fertilizers lower urea amount up to 30%, increase plant productivity and quality, decrease the amount lost from fertilizer application, which consequently reduces costs for fertilizer application as well as bad influence on environment.

From now on, farmers only need three yellow grain urea bags and less than 350 kg of NPK Dau Trau + Agrotain for each ric ha instead of four urea bags as usual. Besides, NPK Dau Trau + Agrotain supplies more medium, micro-nutrients and active elements for plants, therefore, its efficiency is beyond expectation. Packing bags of yellow grain urea Dau Trau 46+ and NPK Dau Trau + Agrotain is renovated in materials and sizes so that farmers can use them to contain agricultural products without poisoning environment.

Fertilizers of eco-friendly green technology is widespreadly used in the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, etc. These products have been awarded many honourable prizes in renovation and quality in the USA, Brazil, etc for years.

In Vietnam, BFC's products are highly appreciated and allowed to apply in agriculture by Scientific Council of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Binh Dien Fertilizer Company is the sole company to produce and sell yellow grain urea Dau Trau 46+ and NPK Dau Trau + Agrotain in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand, opening a new way for fertilizer manufacture in Vietnam.
