VINACHEM

On May 12th 2010, Ha Bac Nitrogenous Fertilizer and Chemical Limited Company (Hanichemco - a member of Vinachem) ceremonially celebrated 50 years of its tradional day and received Independence Medal grade III.

At the Ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Anh Dung, its Director, reported that after 50 year foundation and development, the Company went through a lot of developing periods, ups and downs. Its officials and workers overcame all hardships, even losses, but still tried their best to finish production-trade tasks, contributed to the Nation industrialisation and modernalisation cause. Thanks to solidarity and creativeness tradition, Hanichemco's officials and workers raised the production capacity from 100,000 to 200,000 urea tpy and are upgrading to 500,000 tpy.

On the behalf of the Party and the State, Deputy President Mrs. Nguyen Thi Doan awarded Hanichemco Independence Medal for its excellent achievements in the Nation construction and defence.

Ha Bac Nitrogenous Fertilizer Plant (Hanichemco now) started the construction in 1960. However, due to the sabotage war caused by America, the construction delayed until 1973. Since its operation day in 1976, Hanichemco has produced over two million urea tons, two billion kwh power, 45,000 NH3 tons for sale, 180,000 NPK fertilizer tons, 30,000 solid and liquid CO2 tons of high quality, 3.5 million oxygene bottles for sale, 1,500 active coal tons for the economy.

Carrying out Decision No 2179 and Decision No 2180 TTg dated Dec 23rd 2009 signed by Prime Minister, Vinachem is rapidly establishing Nitrogenous Fertilizer and Chemical Corporation - Vinachem of which the key member is Hanichemco.
